To Sharon, Vicki and Donna and all of Owen's family, Sending love from Julie and Mike in the UK. Julie had the pleasure of meeting Owen on a good number of occasions during her trips to New Plymouth. Each time on parting, Owen would reflect that he might not be there the next time, but then, thanks to his astounding longevity, he was absolutely be there the next time. What a tribute to him that he achieved such an wonderful age, and to him and his family that he remained in his own home until so recently. It was a pleasure to know him and Mike I extend our loving condolences to all of his family xxx
Condolences to the family from the Coromandel
To Owens family, I met your Mum & Dad at the Horticultural meetings lovely couple Dad was very knowledgeable. A real gentleman. You will all have precious memories to keep.
You must be amazed by your lovely dad Phil and Dawn. Always sad at the end of a chapter. Love Chrissy
It is the nature of time and distance that apart from family trips in the 50's my last contact was in the course of a Morris family reunion that I had the brief and pleasurable opportunity to meet Owen and Joan again. Lynette still remembers spending a time in the "swimming pool" and discussing orchids. It is with sadness I note the passing of a valued part of my family history.
