Tributes

Mary Millmow was the best new entrant teacher each of my children could have had. I appreciated her kind and welcoming manner. She was gentle, clear and positive with each child especially as she met with me at the parent/teacher meetings. Mary once said that when a child who was newly at school called her 'Mum', she knew that the child felt at home and was doing well in the transition to school. Thank you, Mary, from a grateful parent, and a fellow parishioner through the years. May you rest in Peace.

Mary Millmow was without exception, the very best new entrant teacher in the world. Always kind, always giving, always loving. So utterly knowledgeable on how to make our 5 year old feel safe, welcome, ready to learn and unafraid. She was incredible with my two daughters. Never will be forgotten. Rest in peace, you totally deserve it.

Hi Mrs Millmow, it's me...Meg. I remember you like it was just yesterday. I was 5 or 6 and I remember your face and how your smile lit up when you told stories at story time on the mat. I sat up front so i could see the story properly. I remember you taught us outside one day the song, Friends are like flowers in the garden of life. I still remember that song. Mrs Millmow you were a friend to every little person who walked through your classroom. You taught me well 😌. Rest well Mrs Millmow. 💜 love from your student Meg. Now 45 years old. I'll always remember you. Till we meet again.....

Mrs Millmow is fondly remembered by us all having been the new entrant teacher for the 2 older of 3 of my children. She let my youngest daughter sit on the mat at news time with her older brother which is lasting memory for them both. She was a calm and effective teacher passing on her wisdom to both pupils and their parents. She will be missed by the school and church communities. My deepest condolences to all the family.
