Tributes

I can not put into words how much I will miss you, Jaden. To the most resilient fighter I have ever known. Your impact on the community will not be forgotten and has inspired a new generation to follow in your footsteps. I will miss our theatre trips (Matilda especially), performing alongside you and our annual Super Bowl watch parties at The Good Home. What a beautiful send-off. Arohanui to the family.

Arohanui to Jaden’s family and moe mai rā Jaden. I knew Jaden at Verrans Primary and Birkdale int. It was always lovely to chat with Jaden his cheeky grin would make my day! I read an article on Jaden a couple of years ago all about his achievements and the support he was giving to at risk youth. I decided to send him a text … he remembered our times together when he was little and as an intermediate student… he couldn’t believe it was me! How lovely we made that connection …. As a Public Health Nurse I worked with many children and young people in schools …. A few I remember dearly Jaden was definitely one of those students! Proud of you Jaden you did good! El Mann

Much love and condolences. There's not one dull memory of Jaden, he was the face of Verran Road and Verran Primary always kind, funny as hack, and had a heart of Gold! Purple in my culture means "Sacred" what a fitting word to describe Jaden and the memories of him. Rest in Love J-Dogg

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Jaden whom I taught during his primary school years. Beautiful Jaden who had the ability to test my patience and make me belly laugh simultaneously. Though his life was far too short, he will be remembered fondly by many I am sure. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time

Julz, Briana, Hunter, and the rest of your family, I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about Jaden. He truly was one in a million. Although I hadn't seen Jaden in recent years, I have such fond memories, especially the times Neil and I took him to the NRL Auckland nines where he was so proud to wear his Captain Storm outfit and our visit to the BFM radio studio when he performed the song he wrote under his name Jaydog. Please know that you are in my thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. I like to think that Neil will be looking after Jaden. With love and deepest sympathy, Rochelle
