Funeral service held at The Pines
I had the privilege of serving on the ICNZB Committee with Sue for a number of years, over which time our friendship developed. A core group of like minded individuals, The Bookie Chicks, supporting each other, growing together, learning, mutually mentoring each other, friendships created. Sue was one of those rare humans who made you feel truly seen. Her warmth, her professionalism, her straight talk, her quiet strength, her love and care — she showed up fully in everything she did, and in every relationship she valued. I am honored to be considered her friend. I felt called to ring her the day before I left NZ in April. It was a final "go well, goodbye" call. Even then, in the middle of her own battle, she was thinking of others and so excited for my journey. That was the Sue I knew. A true blessing. Laura, Sarah and Rodney, my heart is with you and your families as you find your way through this. Sue was loved by many and she loved fiercely, most of all, she was so proud of her girls. I'm carrying her with me on my journey — across countries, across oceans, across skies she's now part of. Fly high, beautiful soul. 💗 The bookkeeping community is poorer today, but my god, we were lucky to have her. I'm all the better for having known you Susie girl 💕 Go well my friend. I will miss you. What a beautiful service and such thoughtful words spoken. Sue was such a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. Always so very generous and kind. Sending huge amounts of love to Laura, Sarah and the family xx
Sending so much love to Laura and the entire family during this incredibly difficult time. I’m so sorry for your loss, and my thoughts are with you all. ❤️
Suzie girl, it’s been a true honour. I’ll always cherish the memories of being invited around for dinners and having Laura cook for us. I'm really going to miss the only person who ever called me ‘Micky’ (you’re the only one who got away with it)Youve raised two such beautiful and kind girls, and I promise you I will always be here for Laura. Rest easy 🤍
Afternoons sitting on Sue’s couch, feasting on her pantry and getting driven to sport gossiping was a pivotal part of high school. Thank you Laura and Sarah for sharing so much of your mummy with me. Rest easy Suzzie. Your laughter, humour and heart will be missed.
