The Last Harvest The tractor now rests in the shed, The fields are quiet, the long day is done. With weathered hands and a heavy head, He’s followed the setting sun. He worked the soil with honest pride, Through the morning mist and the winter rain. With a generous heart and nothing to hide, He grew the sun-ripened grain. He wasn't afraid of the labor or toil, Or the worries the seasons might bring. He loved the scent of the freshly turned soil, And the promise of every new spring. So wipe away the sorrow and tears, He has earned his peace and his rest. He leaves a harvest of love through the years, Knowing he always gave of his best. The barn is silent, the gate is closed, But his spirit still walks the land. A farmer true, with a heart exposed, Resting now in the good Lord's hand. Rest in peace uncle Fred. Sending all my love to Aunty Cushla and family. 💙 Love Kristal, Kent, Indie & Asher
