I was deeply saddened to hear about Steve’s passing. He was the person who gave me the opportunity to come to New Zealand and work in BTW back in 2013. That decision changed my life in ways I will always be grateful for. Through him, I discovered a beautiful country and met so many incredible people in New Plymouth and other parts of the country. Steve was a truly kind and humble person, and I feel fortunate to have known him. My heartfelt condolences to Carolyn and the whole family. He will be remembered with gratitude and respect.
To the family, Thinking of you all today and sending our heartfelt condolences on the loss of Steve, we know this will be a deeply difficult time for you all. Wishing you strength, comfort, and support in the days ahead. With sympathy, The Rickerby Family
To Steve’s family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. I had the privilege of knowing him through work, and even in that setting, his kindness stood out. He treated people with genuine warmth and respect, and he left a lasting impression on those around him. Please know that Steve's kindness did not go unnoticed, and his impact reached far beyond what he may have realized. My thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. I hope you find comfort in knowing how much he was appreciated and how fondly he is remembered. Nicola
Carolyn and the family of Steve So sorry to hear of Steve's sudden passing. We had only just begun collaborating on a project and he will leave a huge void in the Engineering community. He was a great mentor and colleague and I will really miss his sense of humour and his stories about things he'd done in his life. Take care of yourselves, he loved his family immensely and will leave memories that will never fade. Condolences Robert and Donna Boniface
