Long-remembered as the ever-helpful librarian for Internal Affairs (but her library was embedded in the Wildlife Section, on the 6th floor of the Bowen State Building). I borrowed and chatted about many books with Peggy, not just technical wildlife material but also the extensive range of NZ literature housed there. On my years of train commutes, I read so many authors that my England-centred (but NZ- based!) schooling had ignored - Janet Frame, Maurice Shadbolt, Robin Hyde, C.K. Stead, Maurice Gee, Bill Pearson, John A Lee, Katherine Mansfield ... Peggy is missed but not forgotten. Colin
Sending our sincere condolences, may Peggy Rest in Peace and live long in your hearts and memories.
