We will miss you Aunty Ria. I remember many visits up to Mangawhai to go see you (and John) with Mum, your cheeky smile, and determined look when you set your mind to something, your beautiful gardens, the mandarins, these memories will be very cherished. Our condoleances to the family and all those that loved her.
Dear family, our condolences on the loss of aunt Ria. We cherish the memories of your visits to the Netherlands and will miss the warm hugs, your unique laugh and habits and the texts and photos of the fruit and flowers in our gardens. With love, Robbert, Jop, Julie and Yvonne
My husband and I met you about 4 years ago , we enjoyed your company and extraordinary courage, hard work and knowledge . There wasnt much you wouldnt attempt and your manual skills and resourcefulness were amazing. You never gave up !
Dear family, Our condolences on the loss of aunt Ria. We remember Ria as a straightforward woman, who loved a small glass from her blue bottle with exceptional contents for special occasions, which was kept in my parents' cellar for her. Such a special occasion was, for example, after the family bike day in the Netherlands. The last time together on a so-called 'duo bike', which allowed us to enjoy the annual family bike ride, sitting and cycling next to each other, we had a lot of fun going to 'Haarzuilen'. The visits to my mother's home, your special habits and favorite foods often made me laugh. Ria, we miss you. With love, Mirjam, Kim, Fleur, Pien, Jet, and Lukas

Dear family, My condoleances on the passing of aunt Ria. I will miss her interest, her messages and her photos she sent. She was so independent and strong-willed. I am glad that I got to know her. X, Kees en Monique
Loek and family deeply mourn the loss of Ria, sister and auntie. Ria was a remarkable independent sister. She always reminded me of the Frank Sinatra song “I did it my way”. With Ria there was always one way , her way. Ria I miss you dearly, our regular telephone conversations about the problems in the world and how it should be fixed. Also the many laughs. Rest in peace
We will miss you Aunty Ria, especially your warm hugs and sense of humour. We will always cherish the memories of your visits to Madrid, and visiting you in Mangawhai. You’ll forever be in our hearts, your strength and resilience will live on in us. With love from Marina, Alma, Elisa, Olivia and Matthijs.
