Peacefully at Auckland Hospital on Monday 30 March 2026, aged 73. Loved partner of the late Rosie. Cherished father and father-in-law of Luke, Chloe & Adam, and Phoebe. Loved Grandfather of his 6 grandchildren. Loved brother of his 4 siblings. Cherished friend of many.

A service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 46 Watson Street, New Plymouth on Thursday 9 April 2026 at 10.30am.

Sad to lose Dad's youngest brother in his golden years. Out and about enjoying life. Taken suddenly and too soon. Reunited with his partner Rosie. Take care one and all at this very sad time.
To Luke,Chloe,Phoebe and family we are really sorry to hear the passing of Thou and we are thinking of you.we have so many memories of Trou from when I was younger till when we went on a family holiday to cooks beach last year he was always up for a good laugh. RIP mate
So sorry to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of Richard (Rick). Taken way too soon. My deepest sympathy and thoughts are with you all.
