My sympathy to the family. I remember him as a butcher. I was talking to him at woolworths a few years ago.

Uncle John, I feel so incredibly grateful that I had the chance to meet you. For so many years, I wondered about where I came from, about the people who were part of my story. Being adopted, there was always a sense of longing—to one day know, to understand, to belong. And then, after all that waiting, I found my family… and I found you. From the moment we met, you welcomed me with such warmth and kindness. You didn’t hesitate—you simply opened your arms and your heart. That meant more to me than words can ever fully express. You helped turn what could have been an overwhelming moment into something beautiful and grounding. You made me feel like I belonged, like I was truly part of the family I had wondered about for so long. I will always carry that with me. Thank you for your kindness, your openness, and your love. Thank you for being part of my journey and for helping me feel at home in my own story. You will always hold a special place in my heart. With love, Lisa
