My condolences for your loss. I learned last night from friends of his at All Saints PN. We purchased the home off John and Isabel in 2008 with a toddler and baby on the way. I believe they expressed to the real estate agent that they saw themselves in us as we approached the home to view it. In recent years we replaced the wallpaper in the office to find handprints, names and drawings on the gib underneath. We often thought of John in recent years and wondered how we was doing. And now we are selling and moving on as our children have left home, hopefully another family like yours will be the next guardians of their home. Blessings to you all.
