I remember my teacher at Stratford Primary School circa 1968... Miss Iremonger. And one thing I distinctly recall is her telling the class and showing slides of her travels to Norway. It's one of the reasons my wife and I find ourselves visiting there next August. A fantastic and inspirational teacher, I'm sure she is fondly remembered by many ex-pupils. Condolences to all. Greg Whyte

To David & Family. I write to express my sorrow and sympathy for the loss of your dear wife Margaret.I didnt know Margaret very well only having met her 2 times but we are first cousins so I will tell of the 2 meetings. The first was when I was about 10 when Margaret and her friend stayed overnight with Frank and Nancy and their 4 children in Dunedin.(Frank was Lucys brother) They were hitchhiking around the South Island. The next meeting was at my Ordination 15 Aug 2015 when Margaret & David attended. They drove such a long way in the winter to attend. We had a photograph taken together with my sister Lezlie and her husband Warren. My memories of Margaret are of a very engaging person, willing to listen to the other. My prayer is that Margaret now be reunited in Christ Jesus our Lord. Yours John Pettit.
Sending love to the Eagar family. Margaret taught our kids at St Josephs and was a favorite teacher. I also had quite a few years of Margaret's company on our Wednesday walks around Taranaki. She was there regularly and great fun. Kate & Tim Payne

To David and Family, I wish to extend my thoughts and sympathies to you all during this sad time. I have great respect for Margaret, a work colleague and as the first teacher of our children at St Joseph’s school. Her routines, passion, knowledge, patience and commitment impacted positively on many students. We have many memories of her learning programmes and experiences in Room 1, annual monarch butterflies, science discoveries and nature walks, are just a few. Rest in Peace Margaret. X

Loving thoughts and sympathy to David, Kyle,Leon, Ryan, Jared and families at the passing of Margaret. RIP lovely lady.
My sympathy and prayers to you and your family ,David. I'm saddened by Margaret's death . She was an amazing person and wonderful teacher . She was passionate about her students and they loved her , especially the little 5 year old's who thought she was their second mum! Every mother in the school wanted their new entrant child in Margaret's class! She was a favorite amongst many students, young and old! When she finally retired from full time teaching she took over the pre infant classes at St Josephs for many years. I fondly remember those Wednesday afternoons in the library when the littlies would get their first taste of a faith filled education from Margaret. She had a beautiful faith which she shared with all! I, and many other staff members, were blessed to work with her. We enjoyed our family connection too. God Bless . Rest In Peace Margaret Raewyn Sullivan -Brown

To David & Family I've just learned of Margaret's passing & very shocked & saddened to hear the news. She was a wonderful teacher & netball coach and I was fortunate to have her for 3 years in a row at Stratford Primary School back in the late 1960's. She was a wonderful role model and very much loved by all those she taught. She was always impeccably dressed. She had a very positive influence on all those who knew her. I've lived in Melbourne for many years but managed to catch up with her most visits back home. Margaret was such a friendly person. David - you and the family will miss her greatly. But she will be remembered fondly by all those in Stratford who came into contact with her. I will certainly be watching the live stream of her farewell. Thoughts are with you all at such a sad time. Margaret was a very special person who will never be forgotten. Warmest Regards Lynne Wisnewski ( Thompson )

Margaret was a dedicated resilient person, who in life, promoted wellbeing, fitness and endurance throughout age. She made the best custard slices and Xmas Baileys. She demonstrated grace in all her mannerisms. Sandy, Kimberley and Jessica will never forget her kindness and generosity of heart. We will forever be grateful, and trust that she rests in peace and comfort.

Very sorry to see of Margaret's passing. She was my teacher in Std 2 and was so loved by us all. Memories of her famous French hair do stand out. Later in life we became friends through our children. Sadly I can't attend the funeral as we are out of the country. To family our sympathies at the loss of a great lady.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. Sue Morresey and family.
