Matthews, Paul Christopher.
Passed away on 2nd February 2026, aged 76. Dearly loved husband of Wendy. Loved father and father in-law of Danny, Debbie and Adrian, and David and Brylee. Much loved Poppa of Andrew, Caleb and Ella. A service will be held at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, on Saturday 7th February, at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice West Auckland are appreciated. A livestream of Paul's service will be available here.

I only got to know Paul recently at the Squash club, where we regularly played each other, and put the world to rights afterwards over a beer. Paul was a determined man, with great sense of humor. I admired him, and welcomed his advice. Such a sad loss, my sympathies to his family, who he loved talking about with a burning heart.
Paul was one of a kind straight shooter he called a spade a spade i loved our chats and bakery treats Paul I will never forget you rip
