Jean was a wonderful neighbour, and friend while I lived with my husband Don at Junction Road. I will miss her thoughtfulness, and joyful hospitality. Her love of her family was always evident. I offer my deepest condolences to the family, and little Waggs the dog who was her constant companion.

Condolences to Andrew and all his family on the passing of a wonderful woman. I played tennis with Jean, a strong, no nonsense soul. Definitely not a time waster, just got on with it. As Bob once told me, Jean was born before her time. She sure was. Jean leaves a large hole in many lives. Kind regards, Maree Malcolm PPTC.

Jean was a valued, respected member of Lower Mangorei Women's Institute, and members wish to extend their sincere sympathy to her family. Fifty eight years of continued, loyal service has been given to our organisation, from Jean. With her happy nature, Jean has always given her time and enthusiasm, encouraging others, and continually being involved in all activities. Jean really enjoyed the fellowship of the twice monthly Whist (Card Games). She has served many terms of office, including President and Treasurer, on the Committee. As well Jean gave time to the North Taranaki Federation Executive. In 2001 she received a Good Service Award, and also attained a Fifty Year award. Jean was very special to us all, and we will always cherish theses fond memories.

Our sincere condolences to the Moffat family. We would have known Jean for well over 20 years gone by. We always enjoyed her spirit and the times we looked after her wee dog Wags. My self personally I always enjoyed our chats when Wags was delivered home, such treasured memories always. My wife and I have been blessed to have enjoyed our contact with a wonderful friend.
