Tekanimaeu died suddenly as the result of a tragic accident. Aged 47 years.

Much loved husband of Tirutinia, loved and cherished father of Tebwarei, Kameree, Vareke, and Koria.

A celebration of Tekanimaeu's life was held at Hope Church, Warkworth on Friday 30th January followed by interment at Te Kapa Cemetery, Algies Bay.
