Philippa will be a great loss to us all. I met her at our keyboard club where she met everyone at the front door ensuring we all wore our name tags. This image shows what fun Philippa could be
Very sad to hear of Philippa’s death. Remember fondly her many visits to the Radley family home in Herne Bay 60 years ago and the support she gave to my mother.
Neighbour for decades with Guy and their delightful children. Pip always a cheerful observer of things around about, kind-hearted, community-minded, helpful to everyone. We spoke from respective balconies. Always impeccably dressed. Came to at least one political meeting at our place for a candidate she probably didn't support. She always gave the most apt presents for Christmas or 21st of our son. Invited to the Trelawny street parties as crashers from "Coro" Road. She loved travel and lived in party-mode to which everyone was invited. Settlers was her domain and she welcomed us and our tiny grandchild generously. Her warmth, elegant charm and affability embraced everyone. She (with Guy) raised two handsome, clever and entrepreneurial children and we commiserate with their loss. Pip was a great citizen, parent and neighbour.
Pip was my dear friend and mentor when we were in nursing school over 63 years ago. Our friendship continued over the years after zi married and moved to the USA. Whenever I came to NZ to visit Pip always had me over to stay with her for a few nights. Our time together was precious and the memories I will treasure. Rest in peace dear friend.
“To live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die.” Pip was an extraordinary person who made life warmer and richer. I feel incredibly lucky to have had her as part of my life, and I am devastated by her passing. She found joy in both the ordinary and the meaningful. We shared gatherings with friends, sunflower picking, volunteering together, sleepovers, and birthdays were always celebrated with gin, cake, and laughter. Pip was a wonderful friend - her life was marked by connection, kindness, thinking of others and a genuine love of living. I am grateful beyond words to have known her.
A dear friend for over 60 years. I´m so happy we met again last year. So many happy memories of times shared. Go in peace.
Pip was a wonderful friend and her love of life was always visible.
