Mabbett, Barbara Rae (née Lee).

Died peacefully on 15 January 2026, aged 93, at Summerset Falls Care Facility, Warkworth.  

Dearly loved wife of the late Bill. Much loved mother of Catherine (Matthews), Helen (Hobday), Deborah, and Margaret. Cherished grandmother of Anna, Eric, Sam, James, and Julia, and treasured great-grandmother of Eadie, Seth, Aidan, Daniel, and Evelyn. Loved mother-in-law of Hongi, Pete, Waltraud, and Bruce.

The family thank the team at Summerset for their wonderful care of Barbara over the past year. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at Saint Andrews Church,  Matakana Country Park, 1 Omaha Flats Road, Matakana, on Tuesday 27 January 2026, at 11:00am.    

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation be given to either the Society of Music Therapy or The Cancer Society New Zealand.
