Tributes

In my growing up the was 4 Joans, sadly there are now two, I will always remember Joan and her loving care for all and especially her family. Memories include many lunches and dinners as I used to hang about with Bernie in his garage tinkering with one engine or other. Most notably a v4 Wisconsin powering a mighty log cutter, that cut many chords of firewood for many of us families from fallen trees on farms. Another is the annual Hawkes Bay run to get the new seasons Fruit, Peaches, Pears and such, and also the weeks following the 'sister's' going to each others homes to help peel and preserve before they went off. Joan was a trully special lady and you all were privileged to call her Mum. Im sorry for your loss and I was saddened I could not visit your Mum and Dad on my last trip home due to being too ill and not wanting to pass my pneumonia on. Any way gone but not forgotten. Rest Easy in Him Joan. Steve (Our Mum was one of the 4 Joans)
