Monika Rose Marie Jakicevich

                                        Known Lovingly as Mum, Granny and Nana

Born on 19th February 1931, Monika passed peacefully at home on Tuesday 16th December at 7:32 pm surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Strong, determined and full of life, she was the true heart and matriarch of our family. Mum leaves behind six children, twenty-five grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren – a legacy she was immensely proud of.

As Granny and Nana, she was the life and the smiles at every gathering, always bringing warmth, laughter and togetherness. Beyond our family, she was also deeply loved by the many people who worked in and alongside our family businesses, who knew her kindness, strength and genuine care for others.

Her love, spirit and values live on through the generations she shaped and the many lives she touched.

The family would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Mum’s personal doctor Dr Rowan Howden, to Father Rory Morrissey, and to all of the doctors, nurses and caregivers who supported Monika with such compassion and care. A very special  intense, devoted and loving care they gave Monika. Your strength, kindness and love meant everything to her and to us.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
