Suddenly, at home on 9 February 2019, aged 76. Dearly loved husband of Francie (deceased). Loved stepfather of Craig & Colleen (Australia), Tania & Tony (Hamilton), and Andrew & Phyllis (Stratford). Loved Roggy of his grandchildren. Beloved brother of Patrick & Elwyn (Stratford), Moira & Charlie (Canada), Anne & Len (Katikati), Dorothea & Rob (Hawera). Cherished uncle of his nieces and nephews.

Few people have had your sterling qualities of patience, gentleness, and constant cheeriness. Steadfast, reliable and loyal always to your family and friends, you were a treasured part of all our lives. You were principled, and never let anyone down. You were loved. We will miss you, though we do have many happy memories to sustain us.
Roggy. You were the most beautiful man I’ve ever met. You didn’t have a bad bone in your body and had the patience of an angel. Besides not having enough space to tinker with your timber, I dont think I’ve ever heard you complain. Haha Thank you for everything you have done for my Nan and the family. Love you Roggy, will always treasure our memories. *NIGHT RODGE* ?? (Was the way we used to end our phone calls)
Thinking of and praying ???? for you all at this time. Roger was a great brother-in-law and a blessing to our family.
