Sorry to hear of AJ's passing. Such a likable soul and he will be sorely missed at the Downer/Powerco family. Thinking of the family in this difficult time.

I met AJ in 2002 when I was training to be an electrician at PowerCo and spent the greater part of my 4yr apprenticeship under his wing. I'll always remember him as a kind and gentle soul that was always willing to help me, and always had time for a laugh :) It was AJ that inspired me to travel once I was qualified, telling me stories of his experiences and how I could always come back to NZ but I had to go and see the world while I was young. I'll be forever grateful for that advice, it opened up a whole new world for me. Sending my deepest condolences to Michelle and family during this difficult time and sorry I can't be present at Saturday's service. Will be thinking of you and AJ and all those who loved him. Love, Duan
