Peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Monday 8 January 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Joan for 68 years. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Janet (deceased), Ken and Janene, Ian and JL, Alison Sutton and Phil, Murray and Roslyn. Cherished Papa of Catherine, Bryan; Joshua, Cinnamon; Shane, Amy; Christopher, Logan, Mitchell, Victoria, Zoe; and his great grandchildren Nikita, Rimu, Arthur, Florence; Arabella, Asha Lily, Jake; and Greer.

A service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Friday 12 January 2018 at 11.00am, a private cremation will be held.

So sorry to hear of Don's passing, but what a life he had. He visited Ian when he was diagnosed with cancer, and we had a great time over a cuppa. My deepest sympathy to the extended family.
