It is with sadness that we hear of Ians passing. Ian took us all over the place in his busing days. First met him in Stratford when I was a mechanic at Dicksons. Then caught up with him again at Urenui after we had left Stratford. Then again liaised on the golf courses in particular Inglewood.

Ian and I started school together as 5 year olds..Bird Road School..about 40 kids total as I recall..he rode a grey cattle pony to school..and he could throw a ball better and further than anyone else. Just one of the good guys. Rest in peace my friend. Owen

Our special thoughts and love are with Marina, the girls and their families. Bill and Ian were very close. Growing up Ian always said Bill was the brother he never had and they were always great mates. We will miss his phone calls and him popping in and having a cuppa and a chat on his walks. Both he and Marina were so good to Bill's parents when they were on Bird Road and when they moved to Stratford town. Rest in peace Ian, we will miss you. Margaret and Bill
