Lyal, Guy, Lucy & Daryl, We were all very sorry to read Pauline's obituary in the Chch Press last week. We are all thinking of you and want to pass on our deepest sympathy to you & family. I was hoping to make it to the funeral on behalf of Ian, Liz, Helen & myself but Dad is now very frail and we are spending as much time with him in Chch as we can. We told him about Pauline and he was very sad to hear what had happened and asked me to pass on his sympathy to you as well. Renwick
Dearest French-Wright Family, I knew Pauline via the Tennent Family. And wanted to thank you for being able to watch the service online. wow! it was amazing. I cried and laughed and sat silent for 2 hours. And all the time Pauline smiled away. There was a little blonde girl whom I had seen in the Devon Hotel on Monday and when i looked at her i saw Pauline!! i asked about her and yes she belonged to the family. if you watch the service back she is flitting around like a happy little butterfly 🦋 I think she knows Pauline is there with you all. much love De
Lyal, Lucy, Guy and families, I watched a beautiful ceremony on line yesterday farewelling the beautiful Pauline. Such a wonderful tribute to such a wonderful wife Mother Grandmother and friend to so many. I will never forget Paulines kindness to me in tough times. Love to you all Louise Walton.
Pauline was a lovely friend as a Look Good Feel Better Volunteer. I enjoyed our chats about our grandchildren, it was evident her family meant the world to her. I will miss her dearly, especially her beautiful smile.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss. Pauline was a very lovely and elegant lady; a good soul who will be missed by all who knew her.
Dear Lyall, I'm so sorry for your sad and unexpected loss. I am with you in spirit this day . Your tribute was so beautiful for such a beautiful person . Someone rare indeed . I still remember as a child meeting you and Pauline at Auntie Margaret's and going to this amazing wedding . Pauline seemed so glamorous to me and Janet . I remember hearing all about you from Margaret before the wedding ,in your absence -she approved . Your telling of the visit to Italy with Pauline where Uncle Finn hid was not something I knew much about . I understand the setiment of telling -such selfless acts of courage by people who did not know him . It puts life in perspective and was no doubt a special significance for Pauline . She really did shine from inside and out. You had a special gift of a true life soul mate. I hope that Guy,Lucy , and family can find peace. Janet represented me today at the service. I have been on IV antibiotics unexpectedly myself due to sickness and could not travel today as planned . God bless and keep you all -David .

Lyal, Guy, Lucy and Daryl, and Hugo, Ollie, Finn and George. I send my love to you all on the sad and huge loss of your precious wife, mother and grandmother. I know she love you all so much - and she was so incredibly proud of all her family, you were everything to her, and she always lit up when talking about you. To me Pauline was a truly amazing lady and I feel so very lucky to have her for a friend. She was always so kind, always looked beautiful and never seemed to age as the years went by. She also had a beautiful heart and has been a dear friend - always there supporting me when I most needed it, like helping me through chemo. She also had a great sense of humour and we had a lot of laughs together over the years. We started on the same day at Spotswood College in the same class, and it was a joy working every day with her for the 9 years she worked there, followed by a lasting friendship. I will truly miss her and will treasure all the memories.
Such sad sad news. In recalling memories of Pauline, she always has that warm, wonderful, fun loving smile..We are forever grateful to Lyal and Pauline for letting us stay in their beautiful, peaceful villa one Christmas rather than share our space with noisy visiting teenage offspring and pals..such a godsend!! Thankyou! so generous .Our sincere condolences to the family.xx

The whole Davies family is truly saddened to hear of Pauline's very sudden and unexpected passing. We remember her as a humourous and patient colleague and also as a very talented dyslexia assistant and high praise from Arthur (now 23, then 13) who describes Pauline as 'sound', that ranks her as up there with the best and certainly worthy of his teenage brain remembering fondly. We know you will all be devastated by this huge loss but some comfort may come from knowing just how much of a positive influence Pauline was in so many lives. love and prayers from Kevin, Lucy, Freddy, Henry, Arthur and Joseph x🙏🙏

When I think of Pauline there are so many positive adjectives that come to mind and I've really struggled to find the precise words to capture who she was to me. I think above all, I would choose 'warmth' and 'joy'. Pauline was a very genuine person. She had no airs or graces and displayed such natural empathy and warmth to those around her. She was also someone who naturally delighted in the happiness of others, expressing this in her words and reactions. We shared many 'mum type' conversations, both of us having immense pride and love for our children. She did find my obsession with arriving hours before a production to ensure a front seat highly amusing. Pauline is someone I would very much like to have seen again. Time in her company was always so enjoyable; her sense of humour, with a good sprinkle of naughtiness, led to many wonderful conversations. Such a gracious hostess with Lyal, she will be sorely missed. I hope that Lyal and family find some comfort in the many, many tributes that will be paid to her.
I was so shocked and saddened by the news of Pauline's sudden passing and my heartfelt sympathies and condolences go to all the family. Pauline will be a huge loss, there is no doubt, and to Lyal in particular. She was a kind and generous lady who touched my life albeit briefly but she will be fondly remembered and I feel lucky to have known her. My heartfelt condolences to Lyal and all the family. She will be greatly missed xxx
