Dear Uncle Ron,⁣ An uncle such as you is oh so rare Your shining eyes and beaming smile Showed that you did really care Even if we did not see you in awhile We always looked forward to your visits Aunty, cousins and lovely afternoon teas You would send us out in the paddocks Then laugh and bounce us on your knees Over the years the miles have kept us apart We have missed you and your funny antics Always being so proud and not showing your heart But we know you really are just a romantic Your big brother of you always so fond You both told us many a crazy tale It was good to see brothers with such a bond Truth betold your funny stories were largely due to ale Thankyou Uncle Ron for being in our lives You have taught us how noble an Uncle can be We have our own families now, chidren, husbands and wives It is time to rest and look upon us and we look up at thee Rest in Peace Michelle, Murray, Philip and Families

To Dad from your second son, Thanks, for all you have done for me. For rearing me that is a huge commitment of time and energy For installing good values that helped shaped my life, honesty, work ethic, self-belief, respect, empathy to name a few. These were things lived every day not talked about. For always being there when needed but from a distance that allowed me to make my own discussions and mistakes. So much more but trying to keep this shortish I have often commented on people 1/ Would I be stuck on a desert island with you? you would be first on the Island with your strength, intelligence, resourcefulness, and dedication we would overcome and be off the island in no time as long as we didn't have to rely on fishing never that lucky there. 2/ Would I go to war with you? every time I can't think of anyone better you always put others first, with strong leadership and morals and when appropriate you could be a little scary, and I am sure you took a few bullets for me over the years Even though we don't share all the same ideas on life I will always respect your total commitment to your beliefs, values, and family ( you walked the walk) In closing, it is a honor and privilege to have been lucky enough to have you as my Dad. RIP see you on the other side

Dear Verna and Family, my sincere condolences. I remember Ron clearly with respect and gratitude. His influence and belief that a bunch of scrawny, rag-tag cow-cocky kids could do anything they set their minds to, sticks with me more than 40 years after leaving Warea Primary.
