That was a very touching and totally proper celebration of a great spirit gone. So grateful we could feel as though we were there. Colin is so memorable - kind and funny with the time of day for a little cousin who was 10 years his junior - a rock star of sorts. Our kind wishes and deep love go out to you all. We were so sad to hear of the passing of our Uncle Colin. Though the times we spent with him were brief, they are ones we'll always treasure. Thank you to Eagars Funerals for providing the live stream for us to be a part of saying goodbye to Colin, it was great to see the big turn out for an obviously well loved man. Our love and condolences to our Lister family. Rest in peace, Colin. Seth & Moss Gilmore

Sue, Brook and Ryan. What a wonderful tribute to Colin his service was. Brook and Ryan, your Dad lives on in you both - you both have his "look" and Im sure you will both continue to make him proud. His humour and wit are legendary. Sue, he was taken far too soon. You and he both look too young to have had 40 years of marriage. He certainly was "one of a kind" and you will miss him so very very much. Colin, you lived life to the full and touched the lives of many.

Lyndie

Col, you were a big part of my life growing up as a teen from sailing, skating rinks, skate boarding and..the Zephyr. Its amazing how many people one can fit in a Zephyr and how fast you can repaint one with a paint brush in an afternoon. There was never a dull moment - thanks for the memories. ps if you see Mum & Dad "Hide"... My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Sue and your family on your sudden departure ...very saddened.. a life cut too short.

Sue, Brook, Ryan ... I really am lost for words, I'd love to say something comforting or profound but I've been staring at this little box for 20 minutes now and all I can think of is this one time we were screaming up and down Dudley Road on Colin's bike, his laughter blowing back wildly in the wind. So full of life, easy smiles and mischief. Thinking of you all and sending my love.

We grew up together on Cook Street as children, we lived in and shared houses together in our teen years (oh the mischief and fun we had). You were my best man at my wedding and reconnected with me after my stroke, which I thank you for. I am honoured to have had you in my life and deeply saddened to hear the news, but you sir will live on in my heart, and I have the only photo of you and I which I will cherrish for ever more. Until we meet again my friend from Graham Farley.

Dear Sue and family, We were so shocked to hear of Colins passing. So many good times growing up and memories that will last forevermore. Our love and thoughts are with you all at this sad time. xx

Sue and family, Colin never failed to surprise us ! He has done it again and without saying good bye. His dry , often distorted sense of humour will be missed on our adventure rides by many of us. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Be strong , surround yourself with your friends and you will get there. Kelvin and Elaine Bishop.

Such a shock to know that you are no longer with us our Conna. I wish I had the opportunity again to thank you for our last time together as your sincerity and generousity will remain a treasured memory. You took the time to travel to mums to see me, you didn't make fun of the baking soda I used in the scones and we worked together, without arguing, to fix mum's door. This was the person you were and this is what I will remember. Love you always. Sue, Brook and Ryan, I don't have any words of consolation for you. How do I ease your pain, as this is what I want to do for you. please know that you are in my thoughts and heart. Anne

I don't know where to start, it just feels surreal. Im so sorry. My thoughts are with your family at this time. Colin, I really think alot of you, a good, intelligent hardworking, kind man and always smiling. You were always good to me and it wont be forgotten. Atlas thinks the world of you and loves you so much. Atlas says you are his Gaurdian Angel now. Rest In Peace Colin.

Dear Sue, you and Colin were one of the joys of living at Inglewood. You were the best ever neighbours and friends, and we had so many fun times together over nibbles and wine. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys and extended family. Words fail us at the loss of Colin. Love Pam and Lance xxx

Through the heartbreak of losing Colin, its comforting to know that we still feel warmth and joy when we think of him. Every memory we have of Colin, he was always smiling, positive, kind, encouraging and making those around him laugh with his cheeky sense of humor. To leave this ever lasting impression of himself with those that loved him shows what a great man he was. Susan, Brook and Ryan, you must be so proud to have had such a loving husband and father, and we hope the memories of him give you strength and guidance through this difficult time. We are still in absolute shock. We love you Colin and we will miss you.

Sana & Kevin Vincent

Susan and family. We were very shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Colin. We have enjoyed many chats and catch ups over the years and have participated in the many facebook posts. Colin was always passinate about what he had to say and often brought up the things that were important to every day people, like the latest water meter issues. We will miss his quick wit, friendly persona, kind heart and intellectual chats and opinions. Our thoughts and love are with you and your family xxxx

Dear Sue and family - i was shocked and saddened to learn of Colin’s passing. We met through a shared love of motorcycling in the early 2000s. I had the privelege of knowing Colin as a fun loving, kind hearted generous soul. He was a more talented rider than me, always quick to share a laugh and or offer encouragement. Sue, I believe Colin cherished you. May your memories of Colin as husband, a dad and brother sustain you all as you grieve your losx at this time. RIP Colin a genuine Taranaki Hard Core ‘good bugger’

Stephen Oatley

Oh Susan, I have no words. I'll hope to be there on the 4th, even just to offer some type of support. I honestly don't know what to write here except I feel for you and your family. This is such a shock. Lots and lots of love. 💜
