Please accept my sincerest condolences for your families recent immeasurable loss. Some of my most cherished childhood memories were of myself, and my best friends, in the Palmers house at Pembroke Road in Stratford during the late 1970’s and through the 1980’s; and Maureen Palmer was a huge part of that. I remember Maureen always spoke ‘to’ us. I remember Maureen’s infinite kindness, and her unwavering patience with us. Maureen was always ready to listen, and always ready to lend a helping hand wherever and whenever we needed it. Maureen was a rare soul. Whilst there is a part of me that is sad because Maureen has now left us, there is another part of me that knows with certainty that all of us are now the richer for having known her.
So sorry to hear about this. Loved my time at your home up the road from us. It was so lovely to spend time with you. Love to all the boys. ❤️
Very sad to hear the news. I'm glad to have known the Palmer family in Stratford there. All the music and stuff we did at the old house. Always laughing and doing awesome things. It shaped my life and it was great. What kind, respectful, smart, courteous and funny boys you were. The result of a great Mum and Dad. Lots of love.
Hi Mum. Thanks for being the most amazing mother anyone could have ever wanted. The world was a brighter more loving place with you in it, the love you have given to everyone you touched will be with us forever. Miles
Rest in Peace Maureen. Deepest Sympathy to all the family from Sean and Marie Teefy in Ireland.
Maureen for me was always a cheerful person with a beautiful smile. Our lives didn't touch often but it was always a pleasure when they did. I will miss knowing my dear cousin is living in Stratford. Rest in peace now. Love Ailsa and David

I am feeling incredibly sad at the passing of my Godmother. I have such fun memories of spending time in Taranaki as a child and the love, warmth and genuine interest that I always felt from Maureen. We lose another one of the amazing Wilson clan, but know that the next generation(s) have been given an amazing foundation for life and happy memories that will be cherished forever. Rest in peace.
Haddy & family - our thoughts are with you all in your very sad loss of Maureen. She will be sorely missed but treasure the wonderful memories. With love & deepest sympathy from Wendy & Scotty Waite.
Maureen was such a wise person. Although I was not there often, on the occasions I was, she made a strong impression on me. She was a wonderfully kind and wise lady, and was always setting people at ease. My brother and mother, who had occasion to see her more often, spoke very highly of her always.
A beautiful lady held in high respect from our family. We know your hearts will be broken but so many wonderful memories will last for ever. Love to all Roger & Jenny Hignett and family.🌹🌷🌹.
I wish I had had more time with Maureen. so grateful for what I had. A beautifula and endlessly loving mother and mother-in-law, smart funny and kind. Love from Nicola, Audie and Sam.
To Haddy and family, both Hazel and myself are saddened by Maureens passing. We only knew her for a few months, but she has left an impression on both of our lives, as someone very strong and easy to become a friend with, and we are thankful for that treasure. And we would also very much like to pass on the condolances of the Stratford Cancer Support Group, which is where we got to know her. Rest well our dear friend, and to Haddy and family, all of our thoughts are with you through these sad days. Murray & Hazel Fawcett.
Hi mum. You were the greatest person on earth. You taught me so much about love and compassion. I loved telling stories and talking with you after my day at school. You will be with me always. xxx
So sorry to learn of Maureen's passing. She always made me feel so welcome when I used to call round to visit her and Haddy, and nothing was ever a bother. I'm truly thankful for the privliedge of having known her. I'm also thankful that she got to meet my wonderful wife and my two beautiful daughters for the first time recently. May she now rest in peace.
