sorry for the sorrow losing Allan he will be missed. Mam has gotten in touch with the priest and mass will be said for him this saturday night at 7:00 pm irish time.

The first time I met Allan was when I had to meet him & Anna at Gatwick airport in London all those years ago. I was told to look for the man wearing the hat with A.Fake emblazoned on it. What a great name! and a fun man. Sincere condolences to Bernadette, David and family.

Very sorry to hear of Allan's death. I looked forward to his and Anna's visits, and he always took an interest in whatever I was doing. I think of him anytime I sharpen a saw as he patiently taught me the finer touches of that job. When I visited New Zealand, Anna, Allan and family were so helpful and accomodating. His unique view of a holiday involved plenty of work. He was always good humoured and positive, could turn his hand to anything, and was only happy with perfection.

Sincere sympathy to David and Bernadette on the death of your dad,Allan. He used to arrive in Ireland in early Summer,like the swallows. While here he made a lasting impression on so many of us and indeed left a practical legacy of built and repaired objects of all sorts.His table and chairs at Mainham Graveyard are still in constant use and indeed the committee there wish to be associated with our message. He was a lovely person and we so enjoyed his company. No post to New Zealand at present but he will be remembered with a Mass in Naas Parish on Wednesday next. Sean (Naas) and Denis (Clane).

Alan will be sadly missed in our Parish. He was such willing helper who put his hand to anything that needed doing for many years. Personally, we found him to be a perfect gentleman and we throughly enjoyed our chats.

Dear Bernadette Dave and family. So sorry to hear of the passing of your lovely dad Allan. As well as seeing him in Ireland over the years he and your mum stayed a few times here in London. The phrase "Crikey Dick" was immortalised in the local vocabulary and in that respect Allan's memory will be around for generations to come ! May he rest in peace.
