i first met Steve and Jo with Nick on board ,their yatch Beetle juice , in Nelson around 1999. Thought they were an awesome couple, yatching and children . ive since come to know Liam , No 2 . i thought Jo was awesome and admired that you both were doing what you were doing together , so take care , and I can still remember Jo and Steve walking hand and hand down the walkway here in New Plymouth . To me that was them .

Very saddened to hear of Jo's battle. We have wonderful memories of her (and you all) from our time on McLean street. Jo was so passionate about family and children in general. The boys still remember Jo, Nick & Liam patiently teaching them how to skate and to use inline sticks as sticks not weapons!! Such a beautiful, selfless person who was all about whanau. Much love to you all and know that you are in our thoughts.

I remember....the kindy pick up chats, the school pick up chats, the vege patch chats, the Friday afternoon glass of wine chats in your kitchen. I remember the beach chats with the kids swimming ...albeit in wetsuits. I remember the sandpit constructions we oversaw...I remember your beautiful smile and the joy and love you had in your family. I will always remember, Jo... and I will see you again when the time comes.. Andrea xxx

I only have good memories of Jo - from primary school through to the present day. She had a gentle nature but was passionate about her family and, as she has shown, was a fighter till the end. She has left a legacy in her boys and will be remembered with fondness. Steve, we are sorry that we will be out of town on Friday and not able to make the funeral. I will be watching the stream. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so shocked and sad to find out about Jo. We were good friends many years ago. I loved that we reconnected again in a lovely casual way through our boys being at FDMC. She really was the most gorgeous funny woman. My thoughts are with you all. Kathy Shaw (Vic, Australia)

Jo you were such a trooper. You kind heart, your sense of family and your humour made for a beautiful soul. Your spark, even in the hardest of times helped to keep those that love you together.
