No doubt at some time in the distant future a budding historian will pen a noteworthy treatise on the characters who resided for a lengthy period in that highly sort-after location in West Auckland, this being Colwill Road, Massey. Undoubtedly the Dumble family will feature in the list together with other notables. These would include the families Banks, Frame, Feather, Knightbridge, McCarthy, Purchase, Ross, Walkers, Van Berkel, Denyer I am sure that the Dumble family will be remembered by the dwindling number of original inhabitants as I am sure they will remember the fun years growing up in this community. It was very sad to learn of the loss of Sue Dumble, a lady of many talents and charms who was a good friend and well respected in the Massey community. We have fond memories of those years and extend our condolences to the Dumble family at this challenging time Maureen and Jim Denyer
