Gordon see you in Heaven, you have had a life long influence on me with your Christ reflecting character. Always generous and Gracious I can’t remember the amount of times we invaded your house as a bunch of teenagers, you and Anne were always up for anything and the craziness that ensued. Anne and family we love you and are praying for you at this time of great loss, our thoughts are with you today. Martyn

Both Gordon and Anne befriended us when we first came to Causeway church and we valued his friendship, hospitality, warm heart and his Glaswegian humour. He was always there for us when we were going through a difficult family time. We have a cherished momento of our friendship in the form of his painting of Brodie, our much loved Cairn Terrier. He gave of himself so that others might come to know the Lord.

I only knew Gordon through the eyes of my friend Anne. Her love for him and respect for him is so deep that I felt I knew him it was obvious that he was a godly man, a kind and loving husband father and grand father. I loved seeing his art.. Anne you are always In my prayers and I know the lord will keep you through this Life. Much love from across the World.

I count it a blessing to have been a part of Gordon and Anne's small group when they were members of Northcross Community Church. His wit, charm and sense of humour and the genuine care and concern he had for me and my family members will always be remembered. You'll be fondly missed Gordon. Wishing Anne and the whanau peace and comfort during this time. Rest in peace Gordon till we meet again at Jesus feet.

First met Gordon 2010 planting on the Mangawhai sandhills. Always friendly, non judgemental and welcoming. He always had time for everybody. and I would go as far to say that he had a Pastoral gift. I am going to miss those jokes and corny quips. Gordon " The world is a richer place for you having been here, but from hereon the world will never be quite the same without you". Gordon is going to be really missed. So much we take for granted, none of us know the last time we will see someone. We pray for Gods' strength and peace for Anne and all Gordons' family at this time.

So sorry to hear of Gordon's passing and was shocked to hear the news as I am sure so many others will be. Gordon was a lovely man and will be sadly missed by many. My most sincere condolences to Anne and the family. Having just lost my sister, I know from personal experience that Gordon will leave a massive hole in the hearts of his family and friends. May you Rest in Peace Gordon.

Gordon will be hugely missed by the Monday Art Group. Such a wonderful man who happily helped and shared all his exceptional talent and ideas whenever asked. He kept us supplied with both jokes and stories all of which were ‘true’! We will miss his bursting into song where we could join in at will. Christmas lunch will never be the same without our ‘Santa’. RIP Gordon. So sad to have lost you. Linda Foster
