Such a beautiful service for Alan. It was a privilege to be able to link up and hear the story of Alan's life and the tributes via the live stream. I was moved by the photos, many of which I can remember Joan proudly showing me and telling the story behind it. May Alan rest in peace. My thoughts are with you all. Love Sarah x

We are so sorry to hear that Alan has sadly passed away. We have fond memories of staying with Alan and Joan in the past when you took us to Ironbridge, Black Country Museum and many other local attractions. We would often visit a lovely tea room in the Cotswolds with beautiful views over the countryside. In the evenings we would enjoy Joans cooking and Alans fine wines, later on speciality whiskies from his collection. Those were the good old days. Our deepest sympathies go to you all, we are thinking of you during this very difficult time. Rest in peace Alan. With lots of love . . . Carole and Chris . . XX

Dearest Uncle Alan x I have so many happy memories of spending time with you and Aunty Joan when we came to stay with you in Droitwich. The walks in the Malvern Hills, lunch at the Singing Kettle, making marmalade, the toads in the garden are just a few. Your hospitality was the best and we always felt we were dining in a top restaurant with Joan's amazing cooking and your wine expertise! They are memories I will always treasure. Rest In Peace, Love Always Sarah xx

Alan was a lovely man who was veey proud of his family and their achievements. We will fondly remember him, not only for his love of food, wine and, of course, archery but also for the love and support he gave us over many years. With all our love Catherine and Andy xx
