Passed away peacefully. Loved father and father-in-law of Mark and Felicity, hugely missed by his grandsons Thomas, Jacob and Jonathan. We will miss your sense of humor, friendship, and you will always be with us in the hills and bush that you loved
Brough, Tom
Much loved father and father-in-law of Paul and Toni, adored grandfather of Jaime, Ben and Ashleigh. Thank you for sharing your passion for the outdoors with us, for your wonderful sense of humor and for being a special mate to us all. You showed us what is really important and have left a void that can never be filled, arohanui Tom.

A pleasure to know Tom, and such great memories of the tramp into the Bridge to Nowhere, sincere sympathy to Lorraine and all the family
Dear family, Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the summer I came to stay on your farm, I was about 11 I think. I loved the dogs, animals, and farm work, and the amazing taste of that bacon you fried up. I wanted to ride my pony from Tauwhare in the Waikato to your place but strangely enough nobody else thought it was a good idea. I got to have some adventures while I stayed with you though. One day we went out pig-hunting and Tom got me to carry some of the pig out of the bush on my back! Tom was a top bloke and shearer and I am sure he will be greatly missed. Kind regards, Claire Ashton
Dear Larraine With loving thoughts of the beautiful life you and Tom had together - 60 years of love and devotion for each other. Arohanui, Faye Ashton
Always a kind man. We will always remember the silly wave he taught the kids. Rest in peace Tom Katrina, Ian, and Samantha
Tom ,always a gentleman, man of the bush and passionate about the outdoors, thanks for sharing with all the Aria school kids your love of the outdoors .You will be greatly missed.
On behalf of an army of shearers, farmers, shearing instructors and shearing judges I was once privileged to work with, I would like to send condolences to Larraine and the family. Tom was an inspiration to me and literally hundreds of us in the wool industry, not only nationally but internationally. He was a wonderful ambassador, as a competitor,as a judge and as a gentleman. His humility, along with his sense of humour will be missed , ""The older we get, the better we were"", comes to mind. I can imagine the grandchildren, particularly, will be devastated. However, the legacy left by men of Tom's stature will never die and will forever be a gold standard for them to live by. The rest of us have lost a great Kiwi and one who we were privileged to know . Rest easy Tom. We won't forget you. Robin Kidd Ex Manager , Shearer Training ,. N.Z.Wool Board.
My loving thoughts are with you, Larraine
