Dear Paul and Family, I was very saddened to hear of Rae's sudden and unexpected passing. I remember the days we worked together at First Steps Mount Maunganui, with lots of laughs and how she looked after us and the children in the centre as the cook. She was a very caring lady with a big heart. I will miss her messenger and Facebook posts. I really liked she loved her family and was always there for them. Heaven gained another angel. Lots of Love and Friendship Ruth

Dear Paul and Family We are remembering a very special lady who was incredibly devoted to supporting her siblings no matter what. Loved her children unconditionally. We were so very pleased that she was happily married. Paul you were Rae's rock and we thank you for being that special person in her life that made life's challenges more manageable for her. For Rae, her family was her world. She had a very special part of our lives. A very long term friend whom we have some very wonderful happy memories. Our families want to pass on their heartfelt sadness when hearing of Auntie Rae's unexpected passing. We all appreciate how much she was involved in our children's lives, which will never be forgotten. All the wonderful precious memories will stay with us and we want to be there for your family always. Lots of love to you all Shirl & Ed xxoo

I still quite can't believe that your wonderful mum, wife, sister, nanny, and our friend has gone. I have some lovely memories of conversations, laughs and wines shared with Rae and will always smile when I think of her. Saying goodbye to someone so close is the hardest thing to endure. May you find comfort in the words and love that is all around you all. Aroha nui xo
