To all of Des’s families. Des became my Doctor when l farmed in Reporoa and learned he was starting up practice in Rotorua. Through those days and into Rotorua, he was a beautiful, kind and so efficient Doctor, right through to his retirement. It was my privilege to be his patient and meeting and greeting here and there from time to time, he always remembered me. A lovely man in every way and I share my deepest sympathy with you all. May you rejoice in the lovely memories he has left you. My kindest regards, Dianne

Dear Deb, I am very sad to hear that Des has left us and I am disappointed that I will not be able to attend the funeral service. Rest assured that you and your family are uppermost in our minds at this time. I have wonderful memories of our days together in Dunedin. They were happy times that I would not have missed for anything. Sincerely, Dave and Cher

Dear Deborah, Noeleen drew my attention to Des´ obituary in the Herald. My deepest condolences to you, Emma and Joe for the loss of Desmond. I had a look through the net and saw, that you have lost son Rufus not so many years ago. He looked so much alike to Desmond!
