Peacefully at Heatherlea Rest Home on Wednesday 8 December 2021, aged 83.
Dearly loved husband of Anne.
Loved Dad of Selena and Terry, Wayne and Charmaine, Graeme and Rebecca, Sharan and Matt, Yvette, Elaina, and Andrew.
Adored Grandad/Popty/great-Grandad/great-Popty to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Tuesday 14 December 2021 at 2pm, followed by a private cremation.

When I think of uncle John it brings back all the memories of the camping trips that we did as kids at Christmas time. John and dad (Royce) were in their element fishing and drink beer. Thinking of you you all. Lynette & Brett, Kris & Sam, Lana & Jeff

My dad - John Hugh Keegan was a great man and I was lucky and blessed 😊 when he met our mum he took us on and became our dad. His heart was huge with love for all his kids. Thank you dad for giving us your life, you gave us a great childhood and taught us well. I will be forever grateful. You will always be remembered by Terry & myself, Alesha, Israa, Sulayman and Samuel, Lauren, Matt, Alianah and Liliah. We love you dearly.
