Just wanted to make a huge note, that with Marty now having passed; the First NZ generation of Kaska; being a product of Joseph and Lydia who sailed from England, have left their legacy to the next generations. With the eldest sibling, Mary Jean Newsome (nee Kaska) having passed earlier at age 72. This is a very poignant time indeed. I'll be there watching and listening to Marty's life and the Kaska family with you all 💕

The first thing that comes to mind when remembering Dad is being lucky enough to watch the Golden years of Rugby and the All blacks with him along with the one day cricket matches with the Black Caps. Also learned a few choice expletives in the process. He also taught taught me a good lesson on Work Ethic. You don't get the fish until you learn how to use the fishing pole. One certain lesson from Long Line Fishing from the neighbours surfboard off Cooper's Beach while oblivious to the Shark Warning taught me that surfboards can get pretty close to flying upon the Enlightenment of said "Shark Warning". So I figured the "Fishing Pole of Life" is a much safer option. Seems to be working well for me so far. Thanks Dad!.
