Suddenly after a short illness on Friday 14th January 2022, aged 60 years. Beloved partner of Debra for 36 years. Dearly loved brother and brother in law of Michele, Robert and Verna, and Jim. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Doc’s life and farewell him with love and friendship on Tuesday 18th January 2022 at the family farm, 4 Putahi Road, RD 1, Whenuakura Patea, commencing at 1pm. So sorry to hear of Doc's passing. My condolences to you Debbie and family. I worked with Doc during my first year at Cunningham's as an apprentice. He had a very patient teaching style and a wicked sense of humor. I sometimes had to ask him if he was being serious when he'd give me instructions. He once sent me to the Farmers Co-op to get a box of high powered sparks. He was a real top bloke.

Doc, it is with much heartache that I find that you have left us, I have memories from decades ago and will treasure them forever. From Sandra, Teresa and myself we offer our condolences to Debra and family, I am missing you already mate.

Sad to hear of Docs passing, he was so pivotal in the linking of many of the Bourke families of Taranaki into the large clan of which he was so proud.
