My darling Chrissy-Wissy I'm gonna miss you. Thanks for all the fun times, the crazy times in Jakarta and for being a friend like no other to me. You and Kenny-Wenny will live forever in my heart. Love you long time C-W. Suzy-Woozy xo
Christine what a terrible shock to hear of your passing today. I am so sad not to have been at your Memorial Service but it was a beautiful tribute to you. I have known you for 50 odd years since we were ballroom dancing buddies, we got up to a few teenage tricks together but you always took care of me being a couple of years older. We didnt see each other a lot through the years when you went overseas but weve shared a lot including being bridesmaids for each other and even went through a murder together!! I will miss you my friend Lots of love Robyn Vettori X
How I will miss my sister-in-law. Though we did not see each other very often due to different continents, we were jointed together thru my brother. So many good times in Eureka, Calif. Big Bar and New Zeland. I was very fortunate to meet Phil who completed your live. You will truly be missed by family and friends. RIP my sister.
OOOOh Christine I am dreading tomorrow as then I will know you have definitely gone. As children you were my amazing neighbour, full of fun and laughter and so at ease at our house in Leach Street. You were always so generous, so capable, with such an outgoing personality that others were drawn to you like a magnet. You had an amazing life and lots of adventures that you shared with your many close friends. Goodbye dear friend Lots of love Cheryl
Christine you lived your life with a strong sense of who you were. We all knew when you were in the room, because of your sense of fun and charisma.....you were the luckiest woman being loved by two great men. Ken, whom you shared all your life adventures with, and the latter years with Phil who shared with you a quieter life.. I will miss you Christine, for you have left too early in my opinion. But then again, you'll be having fun in the sky, I reckon.. A new adventure begins.. Lynette
To my Darling Crystal Flower, We have known each other since we were 14yrs old, and often think of all those fun, happy times we had. So glad I shared them with you. You oozed generosity and love. Can’t believe you have gone. Very much missed. All my love Forever, Julie and Family XOXO
Dearest Christine. I was lucky to know and be close to you during the crazy Jakarta times in the 1980s. So many laughs, so much fun going to the Hash runs, performing dances on stage, fashion shows and much more. You left far too early, and will be sadly and sorely missed. I treasure our friendship my dearest. Now you have joined your Ken. Rest In Peace. Much love Lisbet Kvistgaard 20 January 2022
When I first met Christine at her house in Auckland in November of 2015 we made an instant connection with each other. I'd found my soul sister. The old adage of "getting along like a house on fire" does not adequately describe how well we connected. Meeting up again in England at our mutual friend Stephanie's in 2018 was a very happy reunion for the "soul sisters". Our time together was easy, fun and full of adventure and happy times. We never lost the feeling of connection and friendship. A friendship for life, meant to last. Hoping for the friendship to last for a few more years was not to be. I know many others wanted more time with Christine. I certainly did and will miss her dearly from my circle of people I care for deeply. My condolences to family and Phil. I lost a "soul sister". Phil lost a soul mate. One More Angel in Heaven, One more Star in the Sky. You were a star Christine.
Dearest Christine You certainly lived life to the full ..... but, sadly, not for long enough. So many memories of you and Ken - from working in New Plymouth in 1976 to visiting you in Jakarta in the 1990s. Lastly, your visit here in UK in September 2018 on your own but with the three of us girls having a 'trip of a lifetime'. You have never changed - your enthusiasm and lust for life, your interest in everything and your love of travel..... no grey areas for you!! I'm going to miss those crazy 4.15 a.m. phone calls when I could imagine you with a nice glass of something chilled and a cigarette thinking 'oh, I'll just call Steph'!! How glad I am that you called me a few weeks before you passed away, it is a very precious last memory for me. The memories live on but you are sadly gone. My deepest condolences to your family and to Phil, all of whom are going to miss you terribly - as will I. With best love x
Our beautiful Christine completed her very adventurous journey with grace and dignity. You can now join Ken together in heaven. We are so lucky to have shared your precious moments and good times. You will always be in our hearts and memory. Thank you, Christine for a beautiful soul that you were. We love you forever. With love Mark, Tracey, Caleb and Bianca Hoffmann
Missing you grievously Scooter, as are Luigi and Biskit. Phil
