The below guidelines apply to all manuhiri who come on to the marae:
• Ope numbers to be kept within 50 people
• Manuhiri are encouraged to wear masks.
• Paimārire practice will take place instead of hongi.
• Whānau over the age of 12 years will need to provide a vaccine pass, as is Pā policy.
• Please stay in your ope bubble

I had the pleasure of meeting Phil and sharing many hours with him in the Renal Unit in New Plymouth. He was always there early and showed great commitment to the cause. He kept us all entertained with his life stories of growing up, working and family life. He always gave as good as he got but I could see he was a big softie at heart. He loved Shay and his family dearly, including his dog. Phil left us suddenly without a chance to say "Goodbye". He is sadly missed in the unit and it is much quieter without him. Kia kaha arohanui Paula Cole

Your big voice, modulated to suit the occasion, situation, participants and protocols, was really a voice of experience, recall and infinite wisdom, wisdom and experience inculcated through your cultural life, itself richer than what the gods have given to most of us, and your being involved in activities all over the world. You were hell of a guy, Piripi, and I'm glad that I had the honour to be one of your friends.
