Peacefully at Annie Brydon Rest Home on Friday, 11 February 2022 in her 94th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Buster. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Noleen and Kevin Dwyer, John and Pam O’Dea (both deceased), Ailsa and Malcolm Parsons, and Richard and Carolyn O’Dea. Loved Gran to all her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Such a brilliant lady. Irene was so helpful when we had a chat about my Grandad Patrick O'Dea and Buster and the farm at Aotuhia. She even gave me some news cuttings to photo copy, which I still have. I send my warmest sympathy to the O'Dea family. Maureen

Dear Karen, Noleen, and family, We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your treasured gran / mum. While we never met her, I (Lisa) have a hand towel with her crocheted top that lets me hang it which is absolute genius and I treasure it greatly. Also here in Dublin we benefitted from her clear master baker skills because we have tasted the results and heard the stories that Karen's made and told which such love.
