Shellie and Family my loving thoughts and condolences go out to you all I have fond memories of Julie Such a beautiful lady so keen for a chat and a catch up:}
To Karalyn, Todd and Shellie What an amazing Tribute to your Mum. Julie and Bruce were awesome people and long time friends. As kids growing up having wonderful holidays in Whangamata, visiting Bellblock in school holidays and then stopping in at Christmas on the way back to Auckland from Whanganui. All those long car and bus trips were well worth it. Our thoughts are with you all and I hope Dad, Bruce and Julie have already caught and having drinks over old times. Kia kaha Mark, Chet, Petrina Riley and Jan France.

Living opposite your family I was a stranger no longer and Julie was certainly instrument in making sure of that. 14 years later we moved on but the Mangati Road gang, parents and kids still hang together, the love remains forever. Karalyn, Todd and Shellie, I am so sorry to hear the sad news of the loss of your lovely Mum, Julie. I have very fond memories of your Mum from when we all grew up together in Bell Block. Your Mum and Dad were both very special friends to my parents, Judy and Johnny. I remember staying at your place on Mangati Road, how welcome I always felt and your Mum's wonderful cooking - especially her amazing fudge cake which she taught me how to make. I still make it occasionally, but it never turns out quite the same as 'Mrs Parlane's'.. . Your Mum was so kind and caring with a wonderful sense of humour and that lovely infectious laugh. My thoughts are with you and your families. Kia kaha. Arohanui. Kim Rooks (nee Marshall)

To Karalyn, Steve, Todd, Trudi, Shellie, Mark and Julie's beloved Grand / Great grand children Sending my very deepest sympathy to you all at this sad time as you mourn the loss of your beloved Mum and Grandma. We have known Julie for many years and she was a very loyal hard working member of "The A team" at our Motel. When Julie started bowls, she talked me into joining, and we had many trips away to tournaments, having so much fun , playing cards at night and laughing our heads off!. She was a great bowler and a wonderful team mate. You will be greatly missed Julie by so many, but now you are at peace and reunited with your beloved Bruce. Much love to you all Beryl xxx
