I just watched the livestream of Pete's funeral and it made me cry. Believe me that doesn't happen very often but I know why. Pete was a great man, friend, advisor, 'tellaoffa', but best of all he was genuine, he was one of the old school boys who spoke his mind and never left you in any doubt how he felt. We don't have enough Pete's in this world anymore. I will miss my mate Pete immensely, I was lucky enough to have known him and I'm the richer for it. My love goes out to Lynnie, Paul, Chris and Tracey. Moe mai ra e hoa (sleep well my friend). Arohanui ki a koutou katoa (my love to you all).

A sad day another good Model A man, husband and father gone to the great Highway in the sky. You will be missed Pete around the supper table on club nights, and at our other club events at which you and Lyn loved to attend. Our thoughts are with you Lyn and family.
