I am so shocked and saddened to hear of your passing Lynda. You were an integral member of the travel agent community in Tauranga back in the day. I well remember our trip to New York and Florida. We sat together in business class and giggled like schoolgirls as we quaffed champagne. We roomed together and laughed a lot. You were kindness personified. I remember our night out in a western bar where you said some very kind words to me that meant more to me than you could have imagined. Farewell lovely lady. You will never be forgotten. Heartfelt condolences to Bryan, Matthew, Quintin and extended family.

Sincere condolences from Canada. I met Lynda in Australia over 50 years ago, when we were young & carefree & exploring the world. We have kept in touch sporadically, & even visited each other before children & our lives changed too much. She was such a strong person in so many ways and always fun too…I can see by others comments that never changed. My heartfelt condolences go to Bryan and her boys. Hugs, Mary Lynn

Lynda, your Mum, always so welcoming of me into your family home. I will never and have never forgotten the love and care given to me alongside you my brother and Quintin. The things we got up to and we got put in our place but your Mum is an amazingly loving person who gave Soo much to Soo many. I have been reminiscing and I can only express Aroha for such a beautiful person. Till we meet again somewhere in the sky, may you rest on a pillow of clouds xx

Riddell Family, I am so very sad to hear of Lynda’s passing and thinking of you all. I have really great memories of Lynda (and Brian) when we were younger. Although we may have started your hair turning grey with our shenanigans I/we always felt welcomed within your whare and Whānau and we will never forget that!! Thank you for accepting us for who we were/are and pulling us into line when required (most of the time). Lynda (and Brian) in my late teens/early twenties I needed some rocks in my life and you were one of them so I thank you whole heartedly for that! Lynda rest in peace knowing that you have an amazing family succeeding your legacy of love and kindness. 🙏🏼❤️

Camp Mother/Detective ........ Such great days being taught how to get scallops out of their shells at wonderful Papa Aroha camp. Helping the kids bait their lines for fishing. Card games - drinking, talking - drinking, laughing until it hurt - drinking. Always being able to find Peter and Brian at the LOTTO SHOP aka the closest bar. Have always enjoyed every minute in your company Lynda. We will miss you.

Mary, Peter and family.

Dear Lynda, You were our ‘Leader of the Pack’ and now you have left us. I will always remember your resilience, strength of character, determination, organisational skills, physical prowess, support of friends and your love and commitment to your immediate family. You could out swim us all 🏊🏼‍♀️. I remember you and I kayaking out our longlines at Papamoa Beach whilst the boys had 🍺 🍺on the sand and feed out the lines behind us. Sometimes your words of wisdom did not always ring true. Once you said that I should follow your example in pacing ourselves on a wine trip. 🍷🍷I became quite unwell but you didn’t! 🙄. You becoming so unwell and diagnosed as terminal was a sudden and unexpected shock. We, your friends, will continue to toast you 🥂, reminisce and tell our stories with laughter and fondness. ❤️Lady P
