Alan & Raynor thank you for allowing us the privilege to contribute to this list, from the Gold Coast, Aust. Both Joy & Ken became an important part of our life due to Andrew & Kay's generously including us as friends. Glenn untangled our Internet & Alan's cognitive decline issues and watched the service with us. We all were encouraged by Minetta, Patsy, and Jodi's reminisces. You 3 displayed fine qualities inherited from Grandma. We have excellent memories of superb company on the Island with Joy and Ken. Scrabble with Joy, Fish and negotiating fishing rights with Politicians stories with Ken ['The Whitest Man on the Coast']; Scuba diving with Andrew, exploration in the bush, retrieving honey from the hive, cruising to the outlying islets in the Poppa and negotiating the Pass dodging 'WillyWaws'. Your family educated us! We appreciated both Les and Andrew's positive reveal of Joy's Bible based expectation of God's promises, today. She has our admiration of her Loyalty to spiritual values life long. Love to all the family members. Keep your ears open for - [Job 14:14,15] "you will call and I will answer".

Such a beautiful lady. She always had a strong youthful spirit that burned so brightly and never seemed to grow dimmer, unfortunately her body was not so immortal. When she is resurrected she will have a body that matches her spirit. I know Jehovah will have no trouble remembering her even her initials will make it easy J. A. H. I remember her as a person who always made you feel special, and welcome and embraced in her warm love even when she was around her much loved family. Thoughts and prayers at this difficult time for her beautiful family. Might be able to have some time to catch up on quiz knowledge before you meet her again. 😪❤️🌻

A wonderful lady I first met at Pioneer School back in 1993. A grandmother to many she was related to in faith. Such a great example. Much love and sympathy to all her family and good friends who have given her so much support for so long. Sending love, Rochelle Radcliffe (née Simpson)

Im so sorry I can’t be with you all today as you celebrate the life of your wonderful , strong charactered muma, Nana , great and even great great.. I can immediately go back to wonderful childhood days at Deep Bay and the excitement when your “lot “ ccame from Coppermine to see Grandpa . The hugs and jolliness of those times are mine to treasure. Aunty Joy was very accepting of us all and stayed interested in me and mine always. I am sure she will leave a big gap for many as our precious “oldies” do. Much love 💕 Chris Macadam (Hope)

My Beautiful Great Nana Joy, I’ve written this out like 20 times but the I just can’t find the words. Today we lay you to rest and it still doesn’t seem real, I can hear your voice saying my name the way only you do. The memories I have, I will hold until the day we meet again, you were always very special, to not only me but to everyone, family and friends. As much as I wish we could all be there to say goodbye, I wish more that we had a chance to bring the kids back and meet you. My biggest inspiration has always been Nana Lin, but as the years have gone on, and the more I see you in her, I realise she gets her courage, strength, and determination from you. I love you so much.
