I can't express my thoughts any better than what my sister Francelle has said - Joanna was definitely a woman of many talents and a woman ahead of her time. She was always our 'fun' aunty, someone with a zest for life and a curiosity about the world which was great to be around. What a gift for you all to have grown up with that! Our love and sympathy to you all and know that we are thinking of you. Janelle, Colin, Katherine and Tom

What do you say about a strong, intelligent, talented, and hard working lady who created a close and loving family, yet still welcomed others into her home; a woman who was way ahead of her time with her attitude to reducing, reusing, recycling, and being self sufficient? You say, thank you so much for being a part of my life, and I always have, and always will, love you. Deepest sympathy to all my dear cousins on your loss. With love from your Kiwi/Canadian cousin Francelle
