Sending all our love and deepest sympathy to the whole Gardner Family. As I watched the beautiful service from Tokyo I had so many fond childhood memories pop into my mind involving Nana and Grandad Gardner. Playing in their beautiful garden with Nicayla and Alex and forcing poor Grandad Gardner to get out the bagpipes for us. He was a kind and gentle man who will be missed dearly. Rest in Love Grandad Gardner. Abbey & Heiden Bedwell-Curtis (née Pope)

To the Gardner family, With love on the passing of our bag pipe playing true gentleman of Riverlea. The friendship our parents shared was truely inspirational and the dear memories of our childhood days are etched in our hearts. Thinking of you all, The Hill family.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Gardner. When I taught and lived at Riverlea I have many enduring memories, two of my favourites are the Christmas road parties and at the closing of Riverlea School Mr Gardner played Amazing Grace just for me on his bagpipes. A treasured memory. Play on in Heaven. Rest in Peace.
