So sorry to hear about the passing of Judy, she was such a wonderful cheerful person, so warm and full of life! Sincerest condolences to the family.
Sorry to hear of Judy 's death. We have not met for many years but she was in my thoughts when I looked at our shared Dixon family tree, especially after our DNA match. Wishing the family all the best at this sad time
I first met Judi when she came to Te Aroha and I was working with a group called Target endeavouring to promote the town. Judi came to ask advice about setting up her gallery. I worked on a business plan with her and encouraged her to go to some government initiatives on starting up a small business, which she did. In no time she had her gallery and her own website and was soon selling her paintings here and around the world. We became good friends and did lots together as we shared a mutual love of music and theatre. I watched as she came to terms with her stroke and encouraged and supported her with her determination to get back painting. Which of course she did. I helped with the various exhibitions of her work locally and in Morrinsville as well as having her come to speak to the many groups I am involved with. There were many trips to the local and Matamata theatres and the movies. to lunch and so on but then it became obvious that these trips were pretty tiring for her latterly. Judi joined the local Stroke music group which she loved. When she had her breast cancer I helped where I could and we agreed that we had had a great life and done all the things we wanted to so wouldn’t have any treatment Then a year or two later I too had breast cancer and we had something else in common. Like Judi did, I now live day to day and enjoy the moments as precious gifts. Judi is at peace and from what she said she didn't suffer too much which is all any of us ask. Thank you Judi for the gift of your friendship and the times we shared. Go well on your next adventure.
