My mother June Rolls (nee Grace) was Joan's first cousin. There was a long standing affection and cousin relationship between my mother and Joan and that extended to include their respective husbands after they were married being Jock Rolls ( my father) and of course Joan's husband Jim My brother Bruce and myself remember them and Kathryn and Robert from when we were small. Please accept my apology for being unable to attend the service. It is a privilege to have the option to be a part of this service online. My thoughts are with the family today . Joan was a person with integrity and compassion. It was great getting her Xmas cards all the years . I will miss hearing from her

I’m sorry I can’t be there today to say farewell Joan. You’ve had an amazing life with its share of joys and problems. May those problems be all behind you now, and you can rest in peace. I suspect the organ player ‘up there’ needed a break and you’re taking over.
