Born 17 September 1935. Passed away peacefully at North Shore Hospital on Monday 2 May 2022 aged 86.
Beloved husband for 62 years of Peg, loved Dad of Karen, Mark and Chrissie, Janice and Dave, Debra and Geoff and Paul and Sandra. Much Loved Grandfather of Stacey and Kris, Joshua and Samantha, Shaun and Julia, Caleb, Ben and Laura, Kaine, Louise and Tim, Poppy, Connor and Bailey and Great Grandfather of 8 with two more arriving this year. Loved brother of Maureen and the late Jim, Grace and the late Bob, Averill and the late Dennis.
RIP Peter you will be terribly missed. Calm sailing to your final destination.
A celebration of Peter's life will be held at The North Harbour Chapel of Dil's Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Thursday 5th May at 2.30pm, followed by private cremation. When I was a child, Uncle Peter was a mystery man - here for a time and then away again on what seemed to me amazing adventures on boats. I can always see him in his chair in later years, doing the crossword, and hear his wry humour. I treasure the key he made for my 21st, courtesy of Her Majesty's dockyards!
